Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL

What is the British Speedway Network?

The British Speedway Network (BSN) is a streaming platform created for the streaming of British Speedway events.

It contains an online library of video content that can be accessed through the internet.

Who runs BSN and how does British Speedway benefit?

BSN is a trading name and product of Exstream Media Ltd. The participating British Speedway clubs receive a share of every subscription and individual live-stream purchase made, so they all benefit from BSN. They are all able to continue providing their own live-stream services alongside BSN.

What matches will be available?

BSN will cover over 18 Premiership matches & 40 Championship matches in 2024 from various competitions as part of our Season Pass offers. BSN may also offer individual stream passes for additional meetings which are not included as part of our Season Pass subscriptions. All meetings are available as live-streams or as an on-demand option.

What do Premiership Season Passes cover?

Premiership Season Passes give access to 18 matches including:

  • 2 matches from every Premiership track
  • 2 KO Cup Semi Finals
  • KO Cup Finals

What do Championship Season Passes cover?

Championship Season Passes give access to 40 matches including:

  • 3 matches from every Championship track
  • BSN Series Finals
  • CLRC
  • Championship Pairs
  • British U21 Final
  • Playoff Semi-finals & Finals
  • KO Cup Finals

Do Season Passes cover every match shown on BSN?

No. BSN will occasionally offer additional individual match passes for meetings that are not part of our Season Passes, with a share of the stream revenue passed directly to the staging club. These can be purchased individually when made available.

When will fixtures be released?

Fixtures will be released on a monthly basis. They will be advertised across all BSN social media outlets as well as being released on the platform itself. All fixtures are subject to change.

Can I watch a match after it's happened?

Yes. All live events will be stored on our platform and available to watch again. An on-demand option will be available to watch within 30 minutes of the livestream ending.

How many times will my team feature?

We plan to film from each Premiership venue at least twice & each Championship venue at least three times during the regular season, with the teams qualifying for the later stages of certain competitions featuring more than this. We try to schedule for each team to feature twice away from home too, but fixture postponements and changes don’t always make this possible.

What happens if a match is cancelled due to poor weather?

All postponed livestreams will be replaced at a later date, so those who subscribe to the Season Pass will not lose out.

If you have purchased an individual match pass, your pass will be transferred to the restaging date or a refund will be given in accordance to our refund policy which can be found in the "Registration for Non-Subscription Services and Individual Match Purchases" section in our Terms & Conditions.

Can I watch outside the UK?

Yes. BSN is accessible worldwide and there are no restrictions placed on any particular country.

Can I use a VPN or Anonymous browser ?

No, access and payments will be blocked when using a VPN or anonymous browser such as DuckDuckGo, Puffin etc. This is an anti-piracy measure employed by BSN. Please turn off any VPN when using the BSN website.

Is there a BSN App?

No, but our website can be saved to any smart phone or tablet as an App. You will be prompted to do this when visiting our website on your device – simply follow the instructions and once complete, you can access all of BSN’s services via an App icon in the same way that you would any other App.

What can I expect from BSN live-streams?

You can expect the following from all our live-streams:

  • Full HD quality
  • Multi-camera production
  • Replays
  • Interviews
  • Full commentary and presentation team
  • Modern in-stream graphics

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Do I need a subscription to purchase matches?

No. You would need to sign up for a Free Pass, however. This will then allow you to make individual match purchases (Single Match Pass). All individual match purchases can be watched on-demand for the whole season.

What is a Free Pass?

To watch any of the content on BSN, you must sign up to at least the free subscription. This will give you access to any of our free content, as well as allowing single match purchases, whether live or on-demand.

What is a Season Pass?

Season passes give access to a pre-determined number of live & on-demand meetings for the Premiership, Championship or both if subscribed to our Total Season Pass.

Is there a monthly payment option?

Yes. Season Passes can be paid for in monthly instalments with no penalty if you wish to drop out at a later date. However, there are no guarantees on the number of meetings shown each month, only a guarantee that the allocated number of meetings for the Season Pass subscribed to will be delivered over the entire season. Failure to make monthly payments will result in livestreaming access being revoked.
