IPSWICH have turned to newly-crowned British GP Champion Dan Bewley as they look to claim top spot back from visitors Sheffield tonight.

Hot from his Cardiff heroics, Bewley guests in place of Emil Sayfutdinov as the patched-up Witches look to bounce back from Thursday’s home defeat at the hands of Leicester.

Workington’s Troy Batchelor deputises for concussion victim Adam Ellis while Ipswich also operate rider-replacement for Jason Doyle in front of the Eurosport cameras.

Sheffield also use rider-replacement for their missing GP man Tai Woffinden with the aggregate point very much up for grabs after the Tigers won by two points when the sides met at Owlerton two weeks ago.

Sheffield took over the top of the table after their comprehensive home victory over Birmingham last Thursday and will be looking to avenge a ten point defeat in Suffolk back in June.

Despite having confirmed their play-off spot with four regular meetings, captain Kyle Howarth is keen that last year’s runners-up keep things rolling.

“It’s been a solid year for us,” Howarth said. “We’re in the play-offs and the next step is to finish as high as we can.

“It’s coming towards the business end of the season now so we want to be on form.”
