DEVON kid Ben Trigger admits he has “high expectations” of his return to Plymouth with new club Redcar.

Redcar field two former Gladiators when they go to the Coliseum in the Cab Direct Championship tonight (Tuesday).

Both Dan Gilkes and youngster Trigger rode for the Gladiators last season. The Bears will operate rider replacement for the injured Danny King.

The home side have two absences with Troy Batchelor stepping in at No.1 to guest for Nico Covatti, who has been suspended by the SCB for his non-appearance, whilst rider replacement covers for the unwell Dan Thompson.

Trigger said: “It’s a match I have been looking forward to. They have a new track shape there and it should be a good meeting.

“I’m hoping we can all get a good set-up pretty quickly and build up a big lead to bring back to the ECCO Arena for the aggregate point.

“I’ve got high expectations of myself around Plymouth and I am excited to show them what they are missing!”
