SHEFFIELD boss Simon Stead is calling for more consistency from his team.

It comes following Monday’s 50-40 defeat at ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Ipswich which still leaves them in second place.

The Tigers have now lost two meetings in a row by 10 points following on from their Knockout Cup Semi-Final first leg defeat at King’s Lynn.

Even so Stead is still looking to focus on plus points from their league loss at Foxhall before they return to track action against Belle Vue on 20 June.

“It was another disappointing result,” Stead admitted.

“We’ve got to get more someone other than Jack Holder and Woffy and we need more consistency, we need to fill the gaps.

“Ipswich deserved their win; we’re licking our wounds a bit and hopefully we can get a response in our next meeting.

“There were some positives though; Jack and Woffy’s form in particular bodes well for later in the season.

“And there was also a stunning ride from Dan Gilkes to beat Emil Sayfutdinov in heat four, that was superb. We need more of that.”
