TWO of the world’s top three riders are the headline acts on BSN’s June extravaganza of track action.

Current world number three Jason Doyle spearheads Ipswich’s visit to Birmingham on Thursday, June 3rd.

And Jack Holder, second in the Grand Prix standings and only two points adrift of defending world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, after the opening three rounds of this year’s series, will lead Sheffield’s challenge in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership KO Cup when they visit King’s Lynn three nights later, on Monday, June 6th.

They are two of the early mouth-watering clashes in a month that will see BSN’s team once again travel the length and breadth of the country.

Three former world champions, three-times winner Tai Woffinden, 2012 champion Chris Holder (who are teammates at Sheffield) and Doyle, who won the title in 2017, are among the cast in a string of blockbuster shows.

The month of firecracker racing opens on Saturday, June 1st with Berwick taking on Cab Direct Championship rivals Scunthorpe at Shielfield Park.

It is the first of eight Championship matches and four top-flight meetings to be live streamed to fans all over the world.

And supporters will have an opportunity to see Britain’s most exciting young talent in action in the British Under 21 Final at Glasgow on Sunday, June 2nd.

In all, 13 of the country’s 16 league clubs, including defending league champions Sheffield (Premiership) and Glasgow (Championship) as well as respective cup winners Ipswich and Scunthorpe, will share the big stage in either league or cup action.

BSN director Ben Duffill said: “It is certainly a bumper calendar of action with 13 meetings in 30 days – that’s almost a meeting every two days!

“Our production team will certainly be putting in the miles – travelling as far north as Glasgow and as far south as Poole as we bring all the best track action straight to fans everywhere.

At ROWE Motor Oil Premiership level, five of the seven teams have June screen dates with both KO Cup semi-finals on the BSN calendar.

The Championship season is still in its relative infancy as all clubs began their 2024 season with the BSN Series but, surprise early pacesetters have been Berwick who feature in the opening clash of the month.

Poole will be looking to live up to their standing as title favourites and will be seen both at their Wimborne Road track against Redcar and their relatively short trip to Oxford.

Added Duffill: “June is the month that officially marks the beginning of summertime – and we will make sure there are no summertime blues for speedway fans who can't make it to the stadium in person.”
