GREAT BRITAIN’S Speedway of Nations star Dan Bewley leads the way of a star-studded Ben Fund Bonanza.

The Cumbrian races on his local track competitively for the first time on Sunday, live on BSN.

There are seven different nationalities on show at Northside for one of the highlight events of the season.

As well as Bewley, other Speedway of Nations competitors are on track including Jan Kvech, Gino Manzares, Antti Vuolas and Norick Blodorn.

There are EIGHT national champions on show in what should be a great meeting.

He added: “I am excited but we’ll see what Steve (Lawson) does with the track!

“It is very cool to race back at Workington. Obviously I’m from the area and not long after I raced for the club they shut down at Derwent Park.

“They have now come back a lot better with new people running the place.

“I always get people asking that don’t really follow speedway too much, ‘when are you racing at Workington’. They don’t really understand the leagues.

“It will be awesome to actually just say I’m racing there. Hopefully those people who have been asking me will turn up!

“The first proper time the track was done, Steve rode it before me. However before they put shale down, I did some flat track laps around it.”

Ben Barker, to his credit, never misses the Ben Fund is also on show.

Former British Champions Craig Cook, Adam Ellis, Charles Wright and Danny King add even more glitz.
