GLASGOW boss Cami Brown was delighted with his team’s first “powerhouse show” against Plymouth.

The 58-32 win pushes the Tigers up to fifth position of the Cab Direct Championship, just behind the teams in the top four.

The progress up the table has pleased Brown and furthered ambitions for the defending champions to reach those crucial play-off positions.

He said: “We needed another big show from the boys, and they delivered.

“It was our first powerhouse show of the season.

“After the two wins over Berwick last weekend, I told the boys I still wanted more from them.

“But I’m confident this side has got the ability to push on now like I asked.

“Some of the lads are getting more belief and they showed that against a very dangerous Plymouth side.”

Chris Harris and Steve Worrall both scored well for the Tigers with 14+1 paid maximums, and Worrall went through the card for the first time in Tigers colours.

Dan Thompson top scored for the Gladiators with 10+1 points.

It was set to be a long trip back for the Gladiators who will be looking for a comeback in their next meeting, this time at home, against Edinburgh on Tuesday.

Glasgow will hope to keep their winning run in the next meet away against Scunthorpe Scorpions next Friday.
