POOLE boss Danny Ford admits the TREBLE remains their target for 2024.

The Wessex Marine Pirates can go top of the Cab Direct Championship if they beat Redcar at Wimborne Road tonight, live on BSN.

The seasiders have a 100 per cent record from three matches so far and they now host the Bears with Vinnie Foord making his debut having signed for the club at reserve.

Meanwhile the Bears travel off the back of their win at Plymouth on Tuesday, and they have Justin Sedgmen guesting for Danny King who misses out on a return to his former club as he remains sidelined due to injury.

Pirates chief Ford said: “We have made the semi-final stages of two competitions already this year so the treble remains our target.

“But to do that we have to keep picking up league points, which means not just winning but winning by a decent margin when we are hosting the first leg of a tie.

“So whilst we wish Danny a speedy recovery we are determined not to show the Bears any further benevolence than that.”

Bears boss Gavin Parr said: “We are going there to win. However, if we can score 40+ points we will be in a good position for the aggregate point, so that will be one of our primary aims.

“Danny is right in what he says, when the riders are nice and relaxed and happy, the results usually follow. We know tonight will be a tough task, but you just never know.”

Wednesday’s live stream from Wimborne Road will also feature the draw for the BSN Series semi-finals.

POOLE: Richard Lawson, Tobias Thomsen, Tom Brennan, Zach Cook, Ben Cook, Sam Hagon, Vinnie Foord.
