POOLE have confirmed dates for the home legs of their cup semi-finals.

The Pirates will be out for revenge when Scunthorpe visit Wimborne Road on 24 July in a rerun of last season’s dramatic KO Cup final.

That October evening the Scorpions drew on the night to lift the cup by four points on aggregate.

The Pirates are defending the BSN Series trophy and the first leg of this year’s semi-final against Workington will be in Dorset on 21 August.

Neither of their opponents have finalised details of their legs while dates have also still to be announced for the other BSN Series semi-final between Scunthorpe and Edinburgh.

Poole promoter Dan Ford said “We have been working hard behind the scenes to sort out dates for these two competitions and I am pleased that we have now been able to secure our home legs.

“At the present time we cannot give any insight as to when the away legs will be raced but I would like to assure all our supporters that we are determined to get this resolved as soon as possible, not least because we are determined to progress into the finals of both competitions.”
