JOSH PICKERING believes he could be back in action before the end of May.

The gritty Aussie crashed with Berwick’s Thomas Jorgensen at Shielfield Park a fortnight ago, sustaining shoulder injuries.

King’s Lynn and Edinburgh have both struggled without their inspirational captain but he is confident of a quick return to action.

He revealed: “I have fractured my left scapular close to a nerve which may be causing me additional pain.

“My infraspinatus and supraspinatus tendons also have a fair amount of swelling around them, amounting to mobility issues in my left arm.

“While I currently don’t have an answer on exactly how long I will be on the sidelines I am hoping it will only be a short couple of weeks.

“Finally having this information on my injury will now allow me to get the correct treatments for the injury.

“I cannot thank Great Britain physio Steve Williams enough for doing everything in his power to get the answers I needed and to get me back on the track doing what I love.”
