JAMES Pearson has revealed he is leaving Glasgow this winter after one season with the Ashfield club.
The Aussie joined the Allied Vehicles Tigers for 2024 after previous spells in the Championship with Birmingham and Plymouth, but says commitments abroad rule him out of a return.
He said: “I would like to say a big thank you to the Glasgow supporters and management team.
“I tried to make my schedule work for next year with the two leagues I have in Poland, but unfortunately it just cannot work with a Friday night match.
“The Glasgow management team and the supporters were amazing to me this year, helping me improve my average from 4.02 to 5.51.”
Tigers boss Cami Brown paid tribute to the youngster who won a bronze medal for Australia in the Speedway of Nations.
He said: “James had a very successful season with us. His away form wasn’t strong enough at times but at Ashfield he was sensational.
“He’s a really lovely lad and very popular with everyone at the club. We wish him all the very best and thank him for his great efforts as a Tiger.”
