EDINBURGH new signing Michael Palm Toft reckons he’s ready to “get back into it”.
The battling Dane scored five points in the Monarchs’ comfortable 50-40 win over Oxford on Friday night.
In a bizarre clash, 12 of the 15 races were won by either home reserve Victor Palovaara who scored 20 and Cheetahs’ No.1 Sam Masters in his 18-point maximum haul.
Palm Toft was the only other home rider to win a race and admitted: “It was a bit of a funny day, ups and downs, finding my groove. I said from the start I just needed a couple of meetings and we’ll get back into it.
“I was there or thereabouts. You always know what you are going to get from Sam when he comes back here, and they had loads of other riders who have ridden this track before, so it was a good win.
“I’ve not been able to get on a bike because everything has been rained-off. But just get a few things dialled in and we’ll be there. I wasn’t miles behind everybody!”
