SCUNTHORPE boss David Howe insists there will be “no pressure” on hot prospect new signing Ryan Ingram.
The Scorpions have signed-up the promising youngster as their second rider confirmed for 2026.
Ingram, who will turn 16 in January, has impressed this season in the National Development League and Trophy for Leicester and Plymouth respectively.
He becomes the club’s second confirmed signing for next year, joining Australian star Josh Pickering who comes in at No.1.
Manager David Howe said: “Both Rob (Godfrey) and myself were impressed with Ryan when he rode at Scunthorpe, and I have been watching him improve all season at Leicester. We feel with the right help he can keep his rapid progress going and be a vital part of the team.
“Obviously signing Josh was a major coup for the club, but it does mean we have to look at riders who will either improve or provide a solid base for the team. Ryan has scope to improve his average.
“But just like Luke (Harrison) was two seasons ago, he will be given time and absolutely no pressure from myself – my job is to try and help him and guide him.”
