BELLE VUE will once again host a FIM Grand Prix double-header in 2026.

The Manchester venue is set to stage two rounds of the World Championship series next season on June 5 and 6.

The first-ever SGPs at the National Speedway Stadium were a resounding success last summer with sell-out crowds and the opening night dubbed by legends as the most exciting Grand Prix of all-time.

Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon said: “As a club we are naturally delighted to be hosting another two Speedway Grand Prix events in Manchester in 2026.

“It was a massive project to embark on last summer. The first SGP was spectacular for racing and it was particularly satisfying to hear big names like Tony Rickardsson, Greg Hancock and Jason Crump waxing lyrical about Manchester.

“It was the Grand Prix that the fans wanted and it certainly delivered sensational racing. In the end fans from all over the world insisted that it should return to the National Speedway Stadium every season.

“We have to thank our owners Tony Rice and Robin Southwell for their incredible backing to keep Belle Vue on the world stage.

“We’re working on finalising capacity to ensure plenty of spectators can enjoy two rounds in Manchester once again.

“We will be finalising pricing for the two-day events with the aim of going on-sale in the new year.”

The series kicks off in Landshut on May 1, then Prague on May 22 followed by the double-header in Manchester on June 5/6 and Wroclaw on June 20. Then it goes to Malilla (July 11), Lodz (August 1), Riga (August 8), Vojens (September 12) and Torun (September 26).

He said: “This is the start of a very exciting journey for Mayfield Sports Events Ltd, and we have much to look forward to in 2026. I am delighted to welcome Lodz on to the Speedway GP calendar for the first time, and there’s no doubt all eyes will be on Warsaw for what should be an unforgettable PZM FIM Speedway World Cup Final.

“We also look forward to seeing the FIM SWC contested over a slightly different format, with the three events staged across three different countries. I am sure the German fans in Landshut and Latvian supporters in Riga will be keen to get behind their teams, who will be at home for the two Semi-Finals, and we are expecting an incredible atmosphere, as ever, in Warsaw.

“Along with Lodz joining the Speedway GP calendar, we have another Manchester double-header, Torun returning to the Speedway GP calendar, and more FIM Speedway action in Landshut, Prague, Wroclaw, Malilla, Riga and Vojens.

“My team and I look forward to meeting our fans and stakeholders from around the world in the coming weeks and months as we work with our partners at the FIM to deliver a fan-focused, stable and sustainable future for FIM Speedway.”
