KING’S LYNN boss Rob Lyon is looking for “positive results” in a huge week for the club.
The Stars and Leicester meet in a vital clash of teams currently outside the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-off places tonight, live on BSN.
Both sides are chasing fourth-placed Oxford with multiple matches in hand on the Spires, with the Lions much closer as they are just two points adrift.
The Stars are 12 behind, but still have to race Oxford home and away, whilst tonight’s meeting is one of three to come against Leicester.
The hosts bring in Adam Ellis and Chris Harris to guest whilst rider replacement is in operation for Benjamin Basso who is ruled out once again.
Meanwhile the Lions have booked Lewis Kerr to replace Craig Cook who is absent for personal reasons, and they won the reverse fixture 47-42.
Stars boss Rob Lyon said: “We’ve got two big matches at home this week, and getting positive results out of them will put us in a decent position.
“It is an easier situation with guests on Monday and we’re pleased to bring in Adam and Chris, and I feel we’ve got a good chance.
“Leicester did pick up points at Sheffield last week, so we need all three on Monday to give us any sort of chance really.”
Lions manager Stewart Dickson said: “Without being disrespectful to our opponents, it really doesn’t matter who they’ve got, because if we ride to what we can, we’ve got a chance of getting something.
“I do realise they are strong at reserve, so that is something of a concern. Results have shown that Anders Rowe has come on massively, and fair play to him, and (Patryk) Wojdylo is very good around there.
“Firstly we need to go there and protect what we’ve got, and if we can do that it will be good, and after that we can get greedy and if we think we can win it, we go and do it.”
KING’S LYNN: Adam Ellis, Benjamin Basso R/R, Jan Kvech, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris, Patryk Wojdylo, Anders Rowe.
LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Richard Lawson, Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Lewis Kerr, Sam Hagon.
