KING’S LYNN have been rocked by an injury blow on the eve of their trip to Birmingham tonight.

In-form Nicolai Klindt suffered a broken arm after being brought down by team-mate Bartosz Glogowski during Sunday’s home defeat for Gdansk at the hands of Ostrow.

Birmingham are going for power up front when they welcome King’s Lynn to Perry Barr tonight.

Ipswich’s Adam Ellis guests against a Birmingham side going for power at the top of the order.

World number two Freddie Lindgren makes his much anticipated home debut and the Brummies have partnered him with British GP wildcard Tom Brennan with skipper Steve Worrall reverting to the number five spot.

King’s Lynn will move off the bottom of the table if they win with the aggregate point also in play after their 49-41 win over the Brummies at the Adrian Flux Arena earlier in the season.

They have booked Oxford’s Ryan Tungate as guest for the absent Tobiasz Musielak, the Australian Champion having scored paid 15 on his previous visit to the Second City. Ellis enjoyed two successful spells in Birmingham colours in both the Championship and National League.

Stars’ boss Rob Lyon also juggles his riding order with Benjamin Basso moving to number two while Adam Ellis and Niels-Kristian Iversen combine in the middle order and Jan Kvech switches to five.

Birmingham have had a tough start to life back in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership but have managed home wins over Belle Vue and leaders Ipswich.

Lindgren, who launched his Birmingham career with a 12-point KO Cup haul at Ipswich earlier this month, said: “I had some practice laps after the last meeting at Birmingham so I’m looking forward to my first races there.

“I hope I can influence the other guys and lead from the front. I’m new in the team and want them to do better.”

Lyon said: “With the team as it is now, we can go everywhere with a bit of confidence and that’s what we’ve been lacking.

“We were solid last Monday against Oxford and that’s the way our team was built. It’s like anything, when you get a bit of momentum in any sport then the team responds, so it’s onwards and upwards.”
