LEICESTER manager Stewart Dickson is buzzing for the season to start as he riders return to the UK.

The Lions, who reached the Grand Final last year for the first time in their history before losing out to Belle Vue, have made minimal changes to their line-up with their three Australian riders and American ace Luke Becker all amongst their returnees.

Dickson said: “Sam (Masters) and Ryan (Douglas) both arrived earlier this week so it’s just Luke we’re waiting on now, and Sam messaged me straight away asking when he can get some laps in.

“Kyle (Howarth) has also been chasing me because he wants to get on the track, although being realistic that’s probably a couple of weeks away at the moment because of the weather.

“I keep in contact with all the riders during the winter, and I know Max (Fricke) will be flying all over the place to make sure everything is in place for the year.

“Luke, Max and Dougy are getting their vans on March 10, and that’s when you know things are happening and you see those pictures, you know the season is getting close.”
