LEICESTER’S Kyle Howarth is ready to prove himself all over again with the Lions.

The gritty Brit has returned to the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park this season.

Howarth is the one new face in the Lions’ 2025 line-up as he joins the club in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership after previously captaining them in the second tier in 2021-22.

It completes a double switch for the former Sheffield rider, who has also moved to Glasgow in the Cab Direct Championship.

Howarth said: “I’m really looking forward to going into a fresh team, being put on the edge and you know you’ve got to prove yourself.

“I haven’t looked forward to a season like this for a while now. I’ve got two new clubs, two fresh starts, and I’ve got some really good people around me with my mechanics and sponsors.

“Stewart (Dickson) wants racers in his team, and he’s worked with me in the past and he knows what I bring to the table. Leicester was one club I was looking to go to, and when Stewart rang it was a no-brainer.”
