KING’S LYNN battler Richard Lawson says his team needs to “bounce back” from recent defeats.
The Stars are seeking their first league points of the season when they host Leicester at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Monday), live on BSN.
The Stars have just completed a tough week on the road where they suffered back-to-back 57-33 defeats at the hands of Belle Vue and Sheffield.
Meanwhile the Lions did put points on the board in their opener, with a narrow home win over Belle Vue inspired by a great rider from skipper Max Fricke in Heat 15.
Both sides are unchanged for the clash in Norfolk with the Stars reverting to the riding order they tracked in their previous home match.
King’s Lynn heat leader Richard Lawson said: “We need to bounce back good because it’s not good enough. It was a bad week and we need to put it behind us. We need to regroup and come back stronger.
“I’ve had some poor performances at home with a couple of mechanicals that have let me down.
“But I want to come back with a good score and hopefully we can win as a team.”
Fricke said: “We’ve shown some good form, they have too, especially at home, so we need to make sure we’re ready to go when we get there.
“Everyone is working well together, and hopefully we can keep that up and kick on from last year. Kyle (Howarth) has just slotted straight in, so everything is working really well.”
KING’S LYNN: Ben Cook, Nicolai Klindt, Jan Kvech, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Richard Lawson, Chris Harris, Ashton Boughen.
LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Kyle Howarth, Sam Masters, Drew Kemp, Sam Hagon.
