IT’S awe-inspiring August. As Sir Alex Ferguson famously once said: It’s squeaky bum time!

Now we are coming to the crunch as the business end of the season begins. Every point counts and every fixture shown means something.

And BSN are serving up NINE pivotal fixtures which will decide so much on who makes it to the play-offs.

First up is a trip to Cowley for the Oxford v Birmingham clash which is a must-win for the home side as they chase a top four place in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.

Then just four days later it’s another massive tie in that top flight play-off battle. This time it’s Leicester needing a result at King’s Lynn.

Just 48 hours on and it’s a switch to the Cab Direct Championship and a visit to Poole as they take on Scunthorpe. It was an ill-tempered battle in the KO Cup recently, so this should be another tasty affair of the league’s top two.

Talking of top two; it’s then a clash of the top flight top guns with Sheffield’s home match with Ipswich, a repeat of last year’s sensational Grand Final.

This fixture will replace the streaming of the Premiership KOC, 1st Leg which can no longer be broadcast on BSN due to an unforseen clash with Eurosport/Discovery+'s schedule. The 2nd Leg will still be streamed on BSN from Ipswich as planned.

It’s then from Yorkshire to the borders on the 10th for Berwick’s vital home meeting with Workington. The Comets needing a win to hang onto their top four position.

BSN’s crew then have a short breather of five days before Ipswich against Leicester at Foxhall. Once again, a massive night for the Lions in the play-off charge.

Just 24 hours later it’s the always exciting Championship Pairs at Oxford. Glasgow won it last year but there are some epic duos ready for Cowley in 2024.

Then comes another humdinger. It’s Glasgow’s oh so vital home meeting with Oxford at Ashfield Stadium. The Tigers need every point possible in a bid to keep hold of their league title.

The last fixture of the month is at the Adrian Flux Arena for King’s Lynn’s clash with Sheffield, the top flight Tigers needing to make up for their recent defeat.

What a month ahead!
