PLYMOUTH are set to welcome back Nico Covatti at No.1 for their Cab Direct Championship clash with Edinburgh at the Coliseum tonight (Tuesday), live on BSN.

Covatti has made only one appearance so far this season for the Gladiators following injuries sustained in Argentina shortly before the UK campaign.

The home side will look to complete the double over the Monarchs after a 48-42 win at Armadale, with the visitors going into their Southern tour with a full-strength line-up.

Edinburgh had to fight back after a poor start in their last outing at Scunthorpe on Friday.

Edinburgh No1 Josh Pickering admitted he was delighted to salvage the bonus point after such a poor start to the meeting.

He said: “It was always going to be tough, Scunthorpe are dialled in around their home track.

“The start of the meeting we did not start well and you were getting covered in shale if you didn't make the gate but the result was there in the end I guess when it comes to the bonus point and that was the main thing.

“We have all jumped in and done our part, it is a collective 1-7 and we have all chipped away and everyone contributed so it is credit to the boys that we all stuck in and as I said in regards the bonus point we got the job done.”

PLYMOUTH: Nico Covatti, Alfie Bowtell, Dan Thompson, Kyle Newman, Ben Barker, Joe Thompson, Jacob Hook.

EDINBURGH: Josh Pickering, Kye Thomson, Lasse Fredriksen, Paco Castagna, Justin Sedgmen, Max James, Connor Coles.
