BELLE VUE Aces boss, Mark Lemon vows that Chris Harris “knows what it takes to win” as he’s added to the Peter Craven Memorial line-up.

The glitzy season opener will take place on March 18 at the National Speedway Stadium, with Harris joining Jason Doyle, Dan Bewley, Fredrik Lindgren, Max Fricke, Maciej Janowski and Robert Lambert for the race.

Harris previously won the event as well as taking glory at the Aces’ previous Kirkmanshulme Lane home in 2010, and Lemon has high hopes for the rider this year.

The ATPI Aces chief said: “Chris Harris is a quality rider who, with each season, has been getting stronger and stronger, be it on the shale or on the grass.

“Chris has plenty to offer in this meeting.

“He’s got a wealth of knowledge and track craft at his disposal, so let’s see if it’s enough to carry him to victory.

Harris is currently building up for another season which will see him represent Oxford Spires and Glasgow Tigers.

Lemon said: “There’s no denying he’s a firm favourite with supporters across the UK, and we’re certainly excited to have him back at the National Speedway Stadium for our opening meeting.”

One more rider is set to be added to the star-studded line-up.
