OXFORD boss Jamie Courtney believes that new signing Francis Gusts is “destined for big things” in the sport.
The Spires promotor swooped to bring in the highly-rated Latvian to complete their side for the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership in 2025.
Gusts, 22, already has an impressive pedigree in continental racing including appearances in SGP2 and in his home Grand Prix as a Wild Card, whilst in 2021 he won the European Under-19 title in Riga.
Having joined the Sandy Lane club he will be racing in the UK for the first time and he joins an ever-increasing list of Premiership new or returning riders in recent seasons.
Oxford promoter Jamie Courtney said: “I have worked day and night to find the right seven riders for Oxford. In the end I am delighted to have signed Francis.
“He is young and enthusiastic, exciting to watch and is someone destined for good things in this sport. Most importantly he wants to be a part of what we are creating at Oxford.”
