PLYMOUTH boss Garry May reckons a vital win is “definitely achievable” over Glasgow.

The Gladiators open their Cab Direct Championship campaign when the sides meet at the Coliseum tonight (Saturday), live on BSN.

They put in an encouraging display in their last home outing against Poole in the BSN Series, and they once again bring in Zaine Kennedy to guest at reserve with Lasse Fredriksen away on international duty.

The Allied Vehicles Tigers are missing Kyle Howarth who sustained a shoulder injury in last night’s win over Edinburgh.

Gladiators manager Garry May said: “Against Poole, the team had it all right mechanically and mentally, so I’m hoping tonight we can push on and get our league campaign off to a winning start.

“It will be tough, Glasgow are a good team, but I think a win is definitely achievable.”

Glasgow boss Cami Brown added: “It’s obviously a blow losing Kyle, especially going back to his old club. The main thing is that he gets the rest.

“We have to thank Drew Kemp for taking the guest booking at short notice. We still have the strength to get the result we are seeking.”

PLYMOUTH: Nicolai Klindt, Alfie Bowtell, Mitchell Cluff, Joe Thompson, Ben Barker, Zaine Kennedy, Ben Trigger.

GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Ashton Boughen, Dan Thompson, Leon Flint, Drew Kemp, Freddy Hodder, Max Perry.
