BRADY KURTZ admits it’s been “a great four years” since joining Belle Vue.

The flying Australian was talking at the ATPI Aces’ Maugers Awards night at the National Speedway Stadium on Saturday night.

Kurtz, 28, has completed a dream season of captaining the Manchester club to a second ROWE Motor Oil Premiership title in three seasons and qualifying for the Grand Prix series.

Just to add a final cherry on the cake, he won the Belle Vue Speedway Supporters’ Club and Dent Oliver Manager’s Rider of the Year awards.

He added: “My choice to come to Belle Vue a few years ago was definitely a turning point in my career.

“It’s been a really great four years. When I came here Lemmo (Mark Lemon) said to me that he wanted to make Belle Vue a club that riders wanted to race for and I think we’ve really achieved that together the last few years.

“The past year has been as good as it could have been really.

“What a team to be a part of. We haven’t mentioned it enough, we actually won the Premiership!

“It’s been very special and so nice to win it again and lift that trophy. There were no better boys to do it with.”
