EMIL SAYFUTDINOV says he will continue to “fight” for Ipswich in their Sports Insure Premiership Play-Off push.

The flying Witches ace has been a stand-out star of the top flight with several outstanding performances.

However, the Suffolk club’s form has been patchy ahead of their mouthwatering visit to super-strong Sheffield tonight, live on BSN.

Sayfutdinov said: “I’m really enjoying my time in the Premiership.

“It wasn’t so good last week with the result for the team at Leicester. But I was happy with my own performance, the bike was working well.

“There is always pressure to do well. I am a professional rider and I need to score a lot of points. I work really hard for that always and all my team as well. The pressure means that you need to keep fighting.

“I am here in the UK and getting experience of all the different tracks. But I just want to keep my level of performance like I have been, it’s very tough. However, I will keep trying my best.”

The Witches arrive at Owlerton fresh from an impressive 12-point win at Foxhall just four days ago.

Both sides declare full line-ups with Ben Barker due to return to the Witches side after missing Monday’s match at Foxhall with a back injury, whilst Dan Thompson makes his debut in the Rising Star berth.

Sheffield manager Simon Stead said: “I did think we could go to Ipswich and run them closer than we did. There’s still a long way to go in this season yet though, and while we’re not quite where I’d like us to be at this stage, we could also be a lot worse off.

“Having said that, I am keen to see us put a run of results together soon.

“We know how powerful we can be around Owlerton and whilst Ipswich haven’t had the best of times overall lately, with Doyley (Jason Doyle) and Emil (Sayfutdinov) and Danny (King) who rides our place very well, we know Ipswich will come here feeling they can do something.”

SHEFFIELD: Tobiasz Musielak, Lewis Kerr, Adam Ellis, David Bellego, Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Dan Gilkes.

IPSWICH: Jason Doyle, Danyon Hume, Danny King, Ben Barker, Emil Sayfutdinov, Keynan Rew, Dan Thompson.
