EMIL SAYFUTDINOV has revealed in a heartfelt social media post that he won’t be returning to British speedway after three years at Ipswich.
The Russian rocket led the Witches to the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership title over Leicester last month.
Sayfutdinov, 36, has previously been World No.3 on three occasions and also won a hat-trick of Speedway of Nations gold medals.
But he will not be back at Foxhall in 2026. He said on social media on Friday night: “Three unforgettable years in British Speedway.
“It’s hard to put into words how much these seasons have meant to me. From the first day, I was welcomed with open arms — by the riders, the management, and especially the amazing fans. You made me feel at home, and I’ll always be grateful for that.
“I’ve grown so much as a rider and as a person, shared so many great moments, and built friendships that will last far beyond the track.
“Thank you all for the support, the cheers, and the memories. I’m wishing everyone the very best for the future — you’ll always have a place in my heart.
“Special thanks to #chrislouis who make this happen with hard work behind the scenes (believe me he was breaking so many hard walls).
“Big thanks to my great friends #IanandIrene for incredible work you have done for me. With out you guys this will be a lot harder (I know how much you hate work in the cold March and clean bikes in the morning).
“Ritchie .. Thank You to be with all the riders all the time … Keep do what you do and you will be very successful!
“A biggest and warmest thanks going to all British fans. You guys truly amazing!
“Feel so great at each place I have been. Especially in #Ipswich.
“It was honour for me to represent @ipswichwitches for this years.
“Ones Witch always Witch.”
