HIGH-FLYING Leicester boss Stewart Dickson has blasted any talk of home advantage ahead of the Premiership Pairs.

The Lions host the first major event of the season at the Pidcock Motorcycle Arena tonight, live on BSN.

It promises to be a fascinating event with three world class Grand Prix superstars and six national champions in the mix for glory.

But Dickson refuses to believe that his home pair of Max Fricke and Justin Sedgmen will benefit from Beaumont Park bias.

He said: “People may say that we’ve got a home track advantage but the fact is Belle Vue have raced here twice, Ipswich have been here twice, Sheffield have been here recently and have a strong pairing.

“So in general the riders here have done plenty of laps around Leicester.”

Even though the field has been diluted down, it’s still a high-quality event for BSN’s growing audience worldwide.

GP stars Dan Bewley, Jack Holder and Fricke will lead the Belle Vue, Sheffield and Leicester charge for success.

Former British Champion Danny King is Ipswich’s top man while ex-Aussie champs Brady Kurtz and Sam Masters are also on display for the ATPI Aces and Wolverhampton.

The meeting runs over a total format of 23 races, with each team competing six times in the qualifiers over a 4-3-2-0 scoring system. The top-scoring team goes straight to the Final with second and third competing in the semi-final for the right to meet them in the decider.
