BIRMINGHAM boss Laurence Rogers admits his side “need to get it right” after a tough start to the season.
The Brummies have endured a horror run of three successive defeats to kick off the campaign.
Now they face Scunthorpe in the KO Cup live on BSN tonight - and the Scorpions have already won at Perry Barr.
Rogers said: “The league fixtures are just around the corner now and we need to have things right by the time they come around. We need a heck of a big performance against Scunthorpe; we need the lads to all pull together, score some big points and give it everything we can to get our season up and running.”
It should be a cracking encounter in the West Midlands with former Brummie Chris Harris also joining Ian Brannan in the commentary box for BSN.
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “There’s a winning mentality around the team this year, and we are disappointed when we lose.
“But we’ll look at the positives, pick ourselves up, and move onto Birmingham seeking the best possible result.”
Brummies’ winter signing James Wright is still sidelined with a shoulder injury so Paco Castagna makes another guest apperance, whilst Lee Complin continues as a guest for Zaine Kennedy for the Scorpions after also racing in their defeat at Plymouth on Tuesday.
