BIRMINGHAM boss Laurence Rogers insists they have “spoken to various riders” to replace Piotr Pawlicki.
The Brummies’ No.1 Pole was announced earlier this week to be unable to compete due to leg muscle damage.
Pawlicki is said to be ‘working overtime’ in order to be back on a bike as soon as possible, leaving Brummies bosses busy to cover the early meetings which begin next Thursday.
Rogers said: “It’s not a case of picking a name out and they appear all of a sudden.
“We’ve checked with the SCB what we’re allowed to do and what we’re not allowed to do, what the visa situation is; we’ve spoken to various riders, but we’ve got to see what’s available out there, we’re doing what we can.”
Oxford Spires and Birmingham Brummies are both new to the Premiership this year and will clash on the opening night at Oxford Stadium on March 14.
