BIRMINGHAM boss Nigel Tolley says you can sense the “hunger” of new signing Michael Jepsen Jensen.

The Brummies have swooped for the former World Cup winner to complete the side at Perry Barr for 2025.

MJJ joins up with Tobias Musielak and Matej Zagar for a really fascinating top three in the midlands.

The 32-year-old, who was World Under-21 Champion in 2012 and also won the Nordic Grand Prix as a Wild Card, had spells with Peterborough and Coventry earlier in his career but has not raced regularly in the UK for just over a decade.

Jepsen Jensen was a title winner in his home country last year and also made a major impression when he returned to the top level of racing in Poland.

Brummies CEO Nigel Tolley said: “We’re delighted to have Michael as a Birmingham rider and again, we feel he will complement the rest of our team well.

“Anyone who has seen him at any point during his career will know what a real talent he is and whilst it has been a while since he raced in the UK, we know what he is capable of.

“Speaking to him throughout the negotiations, you can really sense his hunger and he has some really big aspirations for 2025.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how he settles in at Perry Barr and he’s someone who has got what it takes to push to be a No.1 in this league.”
