GLASGOW boss Cami Brown believes his side have got “the belief” to outgun defending KO Cup champions Poole.
The Allied Vehicles Tigers face the Pirates in a mouthwatering semi-final, second leg at Ashfield tonight.
Brown’s side need to hit 53 points to reach their first KO Cup final since they won it in 2016.
He said: “This is the most exciting Glasgow side I’ve ever worked with, I think we are better than the team that won the title in 2023.
“The camaraderie and work ethic from one to seven has blown me away this year.
“In Bomber (Chris Harris) we already have a 2025 World Champion and his inspirational leadership has already won seven league titles and two KO Cups in both leagues in his career.
“No current rider can touch him for leadership, excitement and being so highly-decorated. He’s the best rider in the Championship by a country mile.
“We also have the best fans, we have the best track and racing in the league and this Tigers class of 2025 has the belief it can go all the way. This team has the spirit to dig out a big result or two.
“The most important thing is that we go into the meetings at full strength.
“We need our fans to turn up in force and make one heck of a noise at Ashfield. There is nothing like Ashfield under the lights when the fans get behind the boys. It’s going to be an unmissable and epic occasion.”
Poole promoter Dan Ford is confident that his side can get the job done at Ashfield.
He said: “There is a high level of confidence in our team and individually the riders know that they have the ability to get out there and take the meeting to Glasgow.
“The first leg advantage is a cushion but the plan will be to keep the Tigers in check and make it hard for them to eat into their deficit.”
