TOM BRENNAN has confirmed he is looking to race in four leagues in 2024.

The Great Britain star revealed that he is likely to continue in the Cab Direct Championship after leaving champions Glasgow.

Brennan, 22, announced earlier today that he has joined Indianerna in Sweden alongside Gdansk in the Polish first division.

He said: “I’ve been with Glasgow for two-and-a-half years which has been an incredible journey for me.

“They have looked after me loads and I wish them all the best. I was undecided whether I’d be doing the Championship next year.

“They obviously need to retain that title which is a huge thing for them. Clearly they want to get a team as quick as they can. I wish them all the best.

“For me next year I’m pretty sure I’ll be in the Championship with a different club. Premiership is still a bit of an unknown for myself. I would love to be in the league.

“I’ll be in Sweden with Indianerna and then we’ve got Gdansk in league one in Poland. So it will be four leagues next year.

Brennan has had an incredibly successful run since turning professional, picking up a gold medal in every season he has completed.

He won the National League with Eastbourne in 2018, a Speedway of Nations title in 2021, Premiership champ with Belle Vue in 2022 and then taking gold with Glasgow in the Championship last month.

Yet, typically, he plays down his run of glory. He added: “My first feeling about my season in the Premiership is not actually too good, almost 2023 feels like a bit of a downer for whatever reason.

“Ultimately that’s because I look back on 2022 when I won the league with Belle Vue and got bronze in the Speedway of Nations plus raced in SGP2.

“It felt like we left 2022 with improvement and lots of different trophies and medals.

“But now I’m just classed as a senior rider, it’s now up to me to prove where I’m at.

“However in 2023, on paper, I still improved everywhere. My averages, technique and averages all progressed, everything felt better.

“I’ve had three years with Belle Vue. In 2021 I was the last Rising Star to be picked out of the draw. It has been fantastic at Belle Vue.

“The track is awesome, everything about the place is excellent so we need to see what the future holds.”
