TOM BRENNAN admits he is fired-up for another red-hot clash with the Stars and Stripes.

The new Birmingham and Poole star will race in his second meeting for the Rest of the World at Kern Raceway this weekend, live on BSN.

Brennan, 22, believes it’s the perfect preparation for the forthcoming European season.

He said: “I think any rider will tell you that competitive racing is what you want right now.

“You can do hundreds of practice laps but you want to drop the clutch and be race sharp.

“It’s a strong USA team and they will all be riding out of the skin on home soil. They will definitely not want to get beaten!”

Brennan lines-up in a Rest of the World side along with Chris Harris, Leon Flint and Paco Castagna.

He added: “The last time I actually raced competitively with Bomber was winning the league at Poole in October. I think this will be a lot of fun with a serious edge to it.

“For me it’s important to get race fit. The new season probably starts here now. The intensive training in Europe will start when I return and I can’t wait to get going.

“I’ve got two new huge challenges at Birmingham and Poole for very different reasons.

“The last few seasons have been really successful. I obviously want to keep that going and I’m at two clubs where I know I can further my career in a big way.”
