OXFORD have announced that teenage star Ashton Boughen will no longer be part of the Cheetahs team next season.

Previously announced as returning for 2025, the Cheetahs team now line up without the 17-year-old sensation.

A club statement reads “Unfortunately, Ashton Boughen will not be riding for the Oxford Cheetahs in 2025, despite originally agreeing to return.

We wish him well in the future. Ashton has plenty of potential to become a successful British speedway rider.”

The announcment confirms a complete move away from Sandy Lane for the upcoming season. He lines up for the King's Lynn Stars in the top tier, making a simliar move to his 2024 Spires teammate Chris Harris.

Team building at Oxford continues as fans eagerly await to see who will join Rohan Tungate, Charles Wright and Luke Killeen in the Spires team.
