CHRIS HARRIS will be looking to bring some of his Play-Off magic to dump the Stars and Stripes.
The former Grand Prix winner is the No.1 for the Rest of the World as they seek to gain revenge against the USA at Kern Raceway today, live on BSN.
A year ago the home side gained a narrow 44-40 victory on home shale but having explosive Bomber in their side could be a vital element for the World select.
Tom Brennan, Leon Flint and Paco Castagna are also in the international side in a fascinating line-up including Pawel Trzesniewski, Austin Novratil and Wilbur Hancock.
It’s a familiar feel for Brennan having partnered Harris to glory in his last competitive meeting for Glasgow at Poole in the Championship Play-Off Grand Final last October.
Brennan said: “Beware of Bomber, everyone knows what he is all about. There’s never a dull moment and the perfect No.1.
“No matter what sort of meeting it is, Chris will want to win it. He’s that sort of character.”
Luke Becker is the big star for the Americans along with Gino Manzares, top scorer last year with nine points.
Familiar names also include Max and Dillon Ruml, Billy Janniro and Broc Nicol.
It’s the second year in succession for this clash. Just 12 months ago the test match was the first home fixture since the 1988 FIM Speedway World Team Cup Final.
The 189-metre Kern County Raceway track in Bakersfield – 100 miles from Los Angeles- is an excellent racetrack and that was proved a year ago.
