BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon will “take nothing for granted” as his side bid to secure a place in the play-offs.

The ATPI Aces require one more match point to officially secure the last place in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-offs as they head to Ipswich tonight.

The Aces visit Foxhall knowing the aggregate point would be enough to make them uncatchable in the top four, and that point is very much in their favour as they hold a 58-26 lead from the reverse fixture.

Meanwhile the Witches are looking to bounce back from recent home defeats to Leicester and Sheffield as they re-group ahead of the play-offs.

Scott Nicholls (for Jason Doyle) and Zach Cook make guest appearances for the hosts, along with rider replacement for Emil Sayfutdinov, and Adam Ellis is still serving his concussion absence.

Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “We will have to go with rider replacement for Emil, we tried to get a guest and tried a few riders from Leicester after their great performance last week but none of them were available.

“We know that means it puts a lot of pressure on the other boys in the team and it will be a tough night, but if they can all perform to their best then we have still got a good shout of winning the meeting.

“Emil is back home now and recovering from his injury and we hope to have a clearer picture on things soon.”

Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “We gave them a pretty good hiding at the National Speedway Stadium and I’m sure they will want to return the favour, so we’ll take nothing for granted.

“We’ve got a full complement of riders and with Dan Bewley just coming off another superb win in Cardiff, although I hope he goes better around Ipswich this time round than previous.

“The feeling in the team is good and we are more than prepared to compete for every point available to us.”
