BELLE VUE boss Mark Lemon is expecting a “tough encounter” against struggling King’s Lynn.
The ATPI Aces are aiming to chase down the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership top two at the National Speedway Stadium tonight, live on Eurosport.
The Manchester club are five points behind leaders Ipswich and three behind Sheffield with all three clubs having five matches remaining in the regular league season.
Victory would also take them closer to confirming a play-off spot as it would mean the Stars would not be able to catch them in the standings.
Belle Vue name a full strength side whilst Lewis Kerr makes his first appearance since officially rejoining Lynn, but Danish duo Nicolai Klindt and Benjamin Basso are ruled out and are replaced by Charles Wright and Chris Harris as guests.
ATPI Aces chief Lemon said: “We are expecting a tough encounter against the Stars. They’ve got some very capable riders, so we’ll have to be on point.
“This is our second to last home meeting before the play-offs, but we still have some significant away meetings that we must be successful in to ensure our top four hopes are realised.
“This is our chance to consolidate our play-off status, and I have faith that our ATPI Aces will do what is needed to do their jobs to secure another home win.”
Stars manager Rob Lyon said: “It’s ironic that I declared a full team of our own riders to Belle Vue last week, and obviously that was when we were expecting both Nicolai and Benjamin to hopefully be back.
“But all things considered I don’t think we’re travelling up there with a bad team, although of course it’s a tough meeting, and our thanks to Charles and Bomber for standing in.”
