What a month ahead we have for you on the British Speedway Network with NINE meetings on our mouthwatering schedule.

It all starts at Oxford for a humdinger Cab Direct Championship KO Cup quarter-final, second leg against Glasgow on May 1.

Those two clubs had some incredible clashes last season and that should be a stunning decider at Cowley.

Then the Cheetahs are back on our screens at Plymouth just three days later. The Gladiators ran them mighty close at Sandy Lane, so it’s another intriguing battle especially with Ben Barker and Dan Thompson in brilliant form for the home side.

Remarkably it’s a hat-trick of Oxford meetings with the Spires next just 48 hours later on May 6. It’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership action against Leicester who are starting to look just a bit tasty.

Then it’s back down south for BSN to the Coliseum for the Gladiators again for their head-to-head with Workington. The Comets are also starting to find their feet in the Championship with Craig Cook looking in sublime form.

The Oxford feast then continues with a trip back to Cowley for the Cheetahs vital Cab Direct Championship clash with Redcar on May 15. It’s fair to say the Bears have had a tough start to the season but with top two Charles Wright and Danny King back from fitness, they should be a big threat.

Just 24 hours later, it’s Premiership action again. This time Ipswich taking on Birmingham in another intriguing battle as the Brummies aim to somehow stop Emil Sayfutdinov and Jason Doyle.

There’s then just over a week’s break until May 24 for Edinburgh’s home meeting with Scunthorpe. The Scorpions smashed the Monarchs in the play-offs last season. No doubt the gold and blue brigade want to gain swift revenge.

One day later and it’s Workington’s tantalising home tie with Oxford. The Comets’ new stars appear to be delivering on Cumbrian shale and this will be a big test.

And finally for May is a return to the Premiership with the defending league champions. Sheffield take on Birmingham and a few interesting clashes between the Holders, Woffinden and Piotr Pawlicki.

Roll on May!
